We are seeking a Technical Product Manager for our Empower department. You will treat our internal platform and data infrastructure as a product, serving our internal organization as your primary customer. Your mandate is to build a Hyper-Efficient Foundation that enables speed, scale, and compliance.

Currently, we are experiencing a positive, fundamental shift in Lunar’s ability to develop our technology base, powered by the accelerating capabilities of GenAI tooling. To unlock the full potential, we are rewiring our software development process, ensuring we can enable all our colleagues at Lunar to contribute to our technology base - including safe, easy access to our data. 

What will you do?

You will own the roadmap for Lunar’s core technical foundations: Platform Engineering (Developer tooling, Cloud Infrastructure) and our Data Platform. You will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution, ensuring we manage technical debt effectively while delivering the tooling our product teams need to ship faster.

• Platform-as-a-Product: Define and drive the strategy for our Internal Developer Platform and Streaming Data Platform. Your goal is to reduce cognitive load for feature teams and "reduce the Cost to Serve".

• Technical Governance & Risk: Move beyond simple feature requests. Proactively manage technical debt, architectural risks, and security updates. You will act as a guardian of "Invisible Resilience," ensuring our core operations are rock-solid and compliant.

• Stakeholder Bridge: Translate complex infrastructure investments (e.g., AWS optimizations, event sourcing refactors) into clear business value for executive stakeholders.

• Engineering Collaboration: Facilitate deep technical planning with Staff Engineers and Tech Leads. You don't dictate solutions; you solicit the best input to solve complex distributed system challenges.

• Data Strategy: oversee the roadmap for our data pipelines and event-sourced architecture, ensuring high-quality data availability for all data consumers: AI features, ML models, reporting, analytics, etc.

• Accelerating the SDLC with AI: Software development is undergoing a fundamental shift. We believe LLMs and AI agents are not just coding assistants—they are infrastructure components that will redefine our entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). As the TPM for Empower, you will lead the charge in integrating AI into Lunar’s engineering DNA. You don't need to be an ML researcher, but you must be a curious explorer with a clear vision for how AI can reduce toil.

What will you do?

You are likely an engineer turned PM, or a PM with deep roots in infrastructure. You understand that in a regulated bank, compliance and security are features, not blockers.

Must-Haves:

• Platform Pedigree: Proven experience managing technical products (Platform Engineering, Data Mesh, or Middleware). You understand the "Internal Customer" dynamic.

• Architectural Fluency: You are well-versed in Event-Driven Architecture, Event Sourcing, Microservices in the cloud. You are a qualified participant in a conversation with senior architects.

• Risk Management: Experience balancing innovation with stability. You know how to prioritize maintenance and debt reduction against new feature development.

• Data & Streaming: Strong understanding of modern data stacks, streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis), and real-time data availability.

The AI Factor:

• Curious & Visionary: Even if you haven't built an LLM platform before, you have concrete ideas on how to use AI to reduce "time-to-first-commit" or automate distinct parts of the SDLC (e.g., using AI for migration scripts or architectural reviews).

• Pragmatic Implementation: You understand that AI code generation creates new challenges in code quality and review. You have a plan for how a Platform team monitors and manages "AI-generated technical debt".

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in Fintech or other highly regulated industries.

• Background in software engineering or DevOps.
