As we continue our journey to becoming the best everyday bank in the Nordics, we are looking for a Backend Engineer to build and maintain our backend services for banking automation, directly contributing to our mission of streamlining and transforming internal operations with intelligent automation and innovative solutions. By joining us, you'll enable efficiency, scalability, and exceptional outcomes across all functions of Lunar’s banking operations. As our new Backend Engineer, you will be located in Copenhagen and report to Søren Thiel Berg, Head of Tech. The team is focused on building software within the banking automation domain within the broader Technology function, led by our CTO Kåre Kjelstrøm.

What will you do?

• You’ll take the reins in developing and maintaining our backend services, making sure our users have a smooth and efficient experience every time.
  

• Focus on automating Lunar's operations and building scalable solutions to prepare for our future growth.
  

• Building, optimizing, and fine-tuning products, services, and features will be your playground – all to support the essential functions that drive our business.
  

• You’ll integrate with third-party systems, pushing the boundaries of what our platform can do.
  

• Collaborating across teams will be key as you help us level up and bring fresh ideas to life, improving and innovating on everything we do.
  

• Your backend expertise will be the fuel for driving real impact across different areas of the business.
  

• And when it comes to AI? You’ll be exploring the cutting edge, using AI to supercharge both new and existing products and features, keeping us ahead of the game.

• Backend development experience.
  

• Proven ability to thrive in agile environments, seizing opportunities and adapting to evolving priorities, while delivering incremental value.
  

• Ability to learn Go (prior Go experience is a plus, but not strictly necessary).
  

• Understanding of event-driven architecture and cloud based infrastructure is a plus.
  

• Curiosity, a team-player mentality, and strong communication skills.
  

• Ability to engage with stakeholders and work effectively in a diverse team.
  

• Junior to Senior experience levels are encouraged to apply.
