As we continue our journey to becoming the best everyday bank in the Nordics, we are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to build out our Cards universe at Lunar, creating seamless, secure, and delightful experiences for our users, so that we can shape the future of the banking experience.

As our new Senior Backend Software Engineer you will be part of Squad “Skylab”, reporting to Brian Nielsen. The team currently comprises 4 amazing individuals working in Aarhus who are focused on operating our cards universe including Issuing & management of new cards, processing of card transactions, card acquiring, card clearing and settlement within the broader Tech function in the “Core”-area, led by Kåre Kjelstrøm.

What will you do?

• Take ownership of the core card domains, developing and maintaining our existing solutions, ensuring a solid card platform.

• Integrate with third-party card processors and help ensure card acquiring & PCI-DSS certification.

• Ensure highly available 24/7 card operations in Lunar - while continuously pushing the boundaries on how to engage our customers within the cards space.

• Explore opportunities for bringing AI capabilities to further enhance our customer’s banking experience.

• Proven experience in a Senior Backend Software Engineering role or a similar position.

• A background in working with cloud-based solutions.

• Hands-on experience in agile environments, adept at adapting to shifting priorities and delivering incremental value.

• It is not a requirement to know GO, but we do primarily code in it.
