As we continue our journey to becoming the best everyday bank in the Nordics, we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build out our domestic payments universe at Lunar, creating seamless, secure, and delightful experiences for our users, so that we can shape the future of the banking experience.

As our new Senior Backend Engineer you will be part of Squad Orion. The team currently comprises 4 amazing individuals working in Aarhus who are focused on building and operating the payment infrastructure, integrating it with clearings in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

What will you do?

• Take ownership of the domestic payments domains, developing and maintaining our existing solutions, ensuring a solid domestic payments in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

• Integrate with partners to access the clearings in the three countries.

• Ensure highly available 24/7 domestic payments operations in Lunar - while continuously pushing the boundaries on how to engage our customers within their domestic payments space.

• Explore opportunities for bringing AI capabilities to further enhance our customer’s banking experience.

• 4+ years of professional experience as a backend engineer, with a strong background in distributed systems and Event - Driven Architecture.

• A collaborative team player who is passionate about sharing knowledge and fostering the success of others.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.

• Big plus if you know Golang, though it is not a hard requirement. We will help you get up to speed here!

• Bonus points if you have financial or trading experience.
