As we continue our journey to becoming the best everyday bank in the Nordics, we are seeking a Pricing Strategy Lead who will own and drive the pricing and monetization strategy across Lunar. This is not a “support pricing decisions” role, but a leader role for implementing value-based pricing: what we charge, how we package, and how we continuously implement across consumer and business banking in all markets.
It’s a practical role where you will sit in the product leadership team and work closely with product leaders, product marketing & finance to ensure product, commercial, and finance make sense. We expect you to have a point of view - while co-creating the best option with the team. Your base location can be Aarhus, Stockholm or Copenhagen, with regular travel between offices.
What will you do?
You’ll take end-to-end ownership for pricing & monetisation across our product offering. That means subscriptions, transactions, lending margins, FX, and whatever we build next. You’ll work with peers to ensure a value-based logic that is rooted in real value for customers, has solid unit economics - but equally considers our competitive reality. Day to day, that looks like:
Building and maintaining pricing frameworks that balance growth with margin
Working directly with product, sales & marketing teams to shape how we package and price new offerings, from early concept through launch.
Running the analytics. You’re comfortable with data. You don’t wait for someone to hand you a dashboard.
Defining and tracking monetisation KPIs. You know what good looks like and you flag when something’s off.
Running pricing experiments. A/B tests, cohort analysis, willingness-to-pay research — whatever gives us signal over noise.
Navigating regulatory and competitive dynamics across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. Pricing in Nordic banking isn’t free-form — you understand the constraints and work within them intelligently.
Translating complex trade-offs into clear recommendations. You are known for having clear logic behind the options you bring.
What are we looking for in you?
You’ve done this before - owned pricing or monetisation decisions in a business. You’ve led strategy, implemented structural changes, and been part of enabling all the small tactical changes - and seen the impact on the topline that proves it.
Must-haves:
Proven experience with pricing, packaging, & monetisation strategy in a consumer-facing digital business.
Direct experience with B2B or micro-business segments.
Strong problem-solving skills. You break problems down, structure your thinking, and arrive at answers that are both analytically sound and commercially practical.
Hands-on with data. You can pull your own analysis, build your own models, and don’t rely on a team of analysts to tell you what’s happening.
Strategic range. You can zoom out to “what should our monetisation architecture look like in 24 months” and zoom in to “this price point is wrong and here’s why.”
Clear communication. You write and present in a way that makes complex trade-offs understandable to non-specialists.
Strong plusses:
Background from a top-tier management consultancy (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or a dedicated pricing consultancy (Simon-Kucher or similar). The structured thinking matters more than the brand.
Experience in banking, fintech, or financial services. You understand interchange economics, lending margins, subscription dynamics in a regulated context.
Experience operating across multiple markets, ideally in the Nordics.
