As we continue our journey to becoming the best everyday bank in the Nordics, we are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to lead compliance monitoring activities, to drive compliance initiatives and to support the constant development of the compliance domain with a tech centric focus.

The Role and Team

As our new Senior Compliance Officer, you will be part of the Compliance Team in the 2nd line of defence, reporting to Kathrine von Grumbkow, Director of Compliance. The team is working across all Nordic jurisdictions and is based in Copenhagen (CPH), however working from our Århus office is also a possibility.

The team covers all regulatory requirements and strives to prevent, detect, and follow up on compliance risks, including being actively engaged in the business to provide relevant regulatory guidance and advice.

What will you do?

• Drive strategic compliance initiatives across key areas of general banking regulation

• Be subject matter expert on credit regulation, conduct, financial crime prevention, DORA and/or payments.

• Function as a sparring partner to the business in all matters related to regulatory compliance.

• Ensure our operations align with the latest regulatory standards and best practices.

• Monitor and assess compliance risks, providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations.

• Foster a strong compliance culture across the organization.

• 5+ years’ experience in Danish banking regulation and governance

• Proven hands-on experience with the compliance toolbox and discipline

• Experience in the governance, risk or compliance area from either the 1st or 2nd line within the financial services industry, preferably from a bank/credit institution

• Strong analytical skills to effectively identify and assess regulatory risks

• Excellent communicator and relationship builder

• Fluency in both English and Danish

• Independent, able to make decisions and drive compliance projects while collaborating with team mates and colleagues from around the organisation
