We are building "Invisible Banking" - a proactive financial agent that works tirelessly for our users. To make banking invisible for our customers, the underlying infrastructure must be rock-solid, compliant, and nearly infinitely scalable.

As a Platform Engineer you will be part of the squad Esa that sits in Aarhus. You will be a hands-on contributor focused on maintaining and evolving the technical foundations that enable speed and security. Your mandate is to build the "Invisible Resilience" that ensures our product squads can ship features faster than ever before.

What will you do?

You will join a team of 6 engineers dedicated to Developer Velocity, you will be a key part in the evolution of Lunar's core technical foundations, with a strong focus on our container orchestration, event streaming backbone, and critical database systems. You will not just manage infrastructure; you will contribute in building Platform-as-a-Product for our internal feature teams, drastically reducing their cognitive load and "Cost to Serve."

Key Responsibilities:

• Microservice Architecture: Collaborate to define and enforce patterns for resilient, cloud-native microservices, ensuring they are observable, cost-efficient, and maintainable.

• AI-Driven Productivity: Help us leverage and operationalize AI tools (like Cursor or internal LLM integrations). You will explore how AI can assist in infrastructure automation and help bake these tools into our internal developer experience.

• Kubernetes Operations: Support the lifecycle of our high-availability K8s clusters in AWS. This includes executing the 4-month update cycle and optimizing proxy setups for better stability.

• Developer Experience (DevEx): Build robust, self-service tooling, pipelines, and templates that make it simple and safe for feature teams to deploy, run, and observe their services on the platform.

• Capacity Reclamation: Help the team move beyond "maintenance mode" by offloading non-core services and decommissioning legacy systems like Jenkins once and for all.

Who are you?

You enjoy solving distributed systems challenges and want to work in an environment where compliance and security are viewed as exciting engineering constraints, not roadblocks. Maybe you already have experience in Fintech or just interested in highly regulated industries. We use primarily Go, but it is not a requirement, the most important you have:

• Platform Experience: 2–3 years of experience in a Platform, SRE, or DevOps role, ideally working with Terraform or similar IaC tools.

• Kubernetes & AWS: Hands-on experience running workloads in K8s and managing core cloud services.

• Database Foundations: Practical experience with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL). You should be comfortable with basic performance tuning and managing RDS instances.

• Automation Curiosity: A strong desire to automate repetitive tasks and an interest in how AI/LLMs can be used to improve the developer lifecycle.
