As we continue our journey to becoming the best everyday bank in the Nordics, we are looking for a (Senior) Backend Engineer to help us build a more automated and AI-driven future for our platform. 🤖 As our new (Senior) Backend Engineer, you will be reporting to Eugene and play a critical role in driving the technical direction across teams focused on automating Lunar. The team is currently in the process of expanding the toolbox with e.g. AI solutions. The overarching goal is to automate manual and repetitive tasks in a scalable fashion within the broader Technology function.

What will you do?

• Design and deliver complex distributed systems to replace legacy tasks and processes currently handled by our Process Automation platform, anticipating technical risks and dependencies.

• Guide teams in the responsible and effective use of AI tooling as an increased part of our tech stack.

• Mentor engineers within the team and lead technical discussions on system design and implementation. 🤝.

• Collaborate with other teams across the organization, helping them build and integrate new solutions, and working across different domains to solve data aggregation and integration challenges, driving projects with minimal support.

• Work in an agile environment with a high degree of autonomy, evaluate team processes to identify and implement high-impact improvements.

• Minimum of 6 years of backend experience, with a proven track record of designing and delivering complex systems at scale.

• Deep expertise in Event-driven architecture and distributed systems, balancing trade-offs to ensure system reliability and performance.

• Experience with Cloud technologies.

• Previous experience with Go is a significant advantage.

• A strong interest in AI and familiarity with solutions like OpenAI.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and domains.
