As we continue our journey to becoming the best everyday bank in the Nordics, we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to own the core services behind customer loyalty, benefits, and tiers — the stuff that drives acquisition, retention, and revenue. We’re scaling two high-impact initiatives and need a senior backend engineer who can own architecture, ship reliably, and raise the bar for the squad that is located in Aarhus.

What will you do?

• Lead design, implementation, and launch of major services; take end-to-end ownership of the squad’s tech stack.

• Build and operate scalable, fault-tolerant, event-driven backend services.

• Raise operational excellence: testing, monitoring/observability, on-call readiness, incident handling, and mitigating root causes.

• Align across product, iOS/Android, design, and data to land the best solution.

• 5+ years delivering complex features with autonomy in fast-paced environments.

• Strong application architecture skills for a defined domain; DDD experience.

• Bias for outcomes: you set goals, take ownership, and drive through ambiguity.

• Expert in at least one modern backend language (Go, Kotlin, Java, or C#).

• Cloud-native services on AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD.

• Data & messaging: PostgreSQL/CockroachDB, Kafka/RabbitMQ.
