Privacy policy for job applicants
In this privacy notice, you can read about how Lunar Way A/S and our group companies process your personal data during the recruitment process.
Lunar processes personal data about you as a job applicant during the different stages of recruitment:
When you apply for an open position in one of Lunar Group’s companies directly at Lunar’s career page.
When you register in our job bank (Connect).
Data controllers
Lunar Way A/S ("Lunar", "we", "our", "us") is providing a centralized recruitment services on behalf of all Lunar group companies✶ and will be acting as the initial data controller for the processing of your personal data performed as part of the recruitment process.
The information you share with us, via the recruitment platform, will be shared with the relevant group companies, who will act as individual data controllers for the processing of your personal data performed in pursuit of the group companies' own purposes, including in connection with the assessment of your skills etc. Only employees involved with the current recruitment process in the individual group companies will have access to the information you share with us. This privacy notice will also apply to our group companies' processing of your personal data. See how to contact each of these companies under "Contact details" below.
Purpose of processing your personal data
We process personal data for the overall purpose of conducting a recruitment process consisting of the following processing activities depended on the outcome of the process:
Receipt of applications to open positions
Registration of CV and application in our job bank (Connect)
Application review
Inviting you to and conducting a job interview
Conducting a personality test and skills tests
Offering you the job
Conducting pre- and onboarding of you as our new employee
Legal grounds for processing personal data about you
We process personal data on the following legal grounds:
The processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by us (e.g. for the purpose of receiving and assessing your application), but for only as long as they are not overridden by the interests and fundamental rights of and freedoms of you in accordance with article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (the General Data Protection Regulation).
On the basis of your consent (e.g. when presenting us with your references, sending in a copy of your criminal statement and accepting to participate in a personality and/or skill test) in accordance with article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR or section 8(3) of the Danish Data Protection Law.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you decide to withdraw your consent, it will not affect the lawfulness of our processing of your personal data on the basis of the consent previously given by you and up to the time of withdrawal.
Due to the necessity for performing a contract to which you are a party (e.g. drafting and administering your employment contract) in accordance with article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.
The processing is necessary for adhering to different employment regulations and collective employment agreements and happens on the basis of sections 11(2)(1) and 12(1) of the Danish Data Protection Law.
Recipients of your personal data
It may be relevant for Lunar to involve other group companies in the recruitment process (e.g. if you have applied for a position in another group company or a person in a group company needs to be involved in the assessment of your skills). The personal data that Lunar has collected about you during the recruitment process will then be disclosed to the relevant group company.
Further on, your personal data will be made available to our processors, for example the processors hosting our IT systems and offering personality tests.
In certain and relevant cases, we may also disclose your personal data to our recruitment partner for it to assess your professional skills.
Transfer to third countries
In certain specific cases - as part of our use of a supplier in the form of a data processor or sub-processor - information about you is transferred to a third country.
Such transfers are only carried out in the following cases:
The EU Commission has determined that the country in question has an adequate level of protection.
The EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses 2021 have been entered and additional security measures have been implemented.
The applied data processor’s processing activity is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework that has been adopted in 2023.

Storage of your personal data
Rejection for a specific position
If you unfortunately don’t end up becoming a part of Lunar, we will keep your information for documentation purposes and in order to defend ourselves against potential claims that may follow the recruitment process for 12 months, after the date when you were informed of the rejection. We will not use the information you have submitted to us during the recruitment process for any other purposes than to document the process and to defend Lunar against potential claims, unless you have chosen to connect with us and become a part of our job bank.
Registration at our job bank
If you have registered at our job bank we will keep the information about you for 12 months. Once the 12 months are reached you will be requested to either accept or reject extending your registration at our job bank.
During employment
When you land the job after completing a successful recruitment process, the data that we have processed during the recruitment process will, if relevant, be stored in your personnel file in accordance with the applicable guidelines. In that case, you will be further notified of the processing of your personal data.
Your rights as a data subject
According to the GDPR you as the data subject have the following rights you can exercise by contacting us.
Your request will always be assessed as soon as possible and specifically based on the circumstances.
Right of access
You have the right to access the personal data we process about you. This means that you have the right to receive a copy of the data we process about you. Furthermore, you have the right to receive specific information about the processing to which the data is subjected.
However, your right of access may be limited by law, the need for protecting other people's privacy and the need for protecting our business concept, business and recruitment strategies and know-how.
Right to rectification
If any information about you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected and/or updated.
Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
You have the right to request the erasure of your data in the following cases, as set out in the GDPR:
You withdraw the consent you have given for the processing of personal data.
Information about you is no longer necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
You object to the processing and the processing does not serve legitimate grounds.
Information about you has been processed unlawfully.
The processing concerns minors and the data has been collected in connection with the provision of information services.
You object to the processing of data in direct marketing and the processing is unlawful.
Right to restriction of processing
If you believe that the processing of data about you is unlawful or that the data is incorrect, or you have objected to the processing of the data, you can ask us to restrict the processing of that data. The restriction may then include retention until the accuracy of the data is established, or we demonstrate that we have a legitimate interest in processing personal data that overrides your interests.
Right to data portability
You have the right to request to receive information about you in a machine-readable format. This right only applies to personal data that is processed automatically and where valid consent has been given or for the purpose of fulfilling a contract.
Complaints or questions about the processing of personal data
