We have grown by leaps and bounds since starting in Aarhus in 2015 and are now considered a major player in the Nordics with offices in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo, as well as employees working remotely across Europe.

Our external communications team is growing and we’re looking for a curious, solutions-oriented, financially interested PR- and Communications Manager to join us in Copenhagen, to advance our external communications agenda and further build our reputation in Denmark. 

This role is crucial in how Lunar communicates externally to promote our brand and enhance the understanding of our banking capabilities in Denmark. Combining industry expertise with a passion for tech and innovation, supported by the skills to effectively manage our reputation, you will play a meaningful role in crafting our unique growth story for the Danish market.

You will be a part of a Nordic team with two other communication experts, Johanna Sahlin and Jenny Menckel both located in Sweden. You will report to Jenny Menckel and work side by side with the management team. We see that you are a commercially and media-savvy PR- and communication expert who is driven to find new and creative ways to engage media, customers, and other stakeholders with the story of Lunar. You will partner with the communications team, internal stakeholders and channel leads to enhance and protect Lunar’s reputation in Denmark while supporting the growth goals of the business. The department works across borders, however, this position will have a focus on, and require experience in the Danish market.

What will you do?

• Create annual and quarterly PR- & communication plans in partnership with the Head of External Communication, business stakeholders and the marketing team to support and advance Lunar’s business strategy and objectives.

• Proactively identify opportunities to build stories and secure media coverage in Danish media, working closely with Lunar’s spokespeople. 

• Build and drive integrated communication initiatives by partnering with key stakeholders.

• Align communication plans with the overarching Nordic communication strategy to ensure the reputation of our brand, people, and business is consistently enhanced and protected.

• Ensure PR is a fully integrated, optimized element of Lunar’s marketing campaigns by partnering with the marketing team and other internal stakeholders – including strategy, story development, execution, and reporting

• Build, maintain, and enhance relationships with key media and industry regulators to promote the brand and generate positive awareness of Lunar.

• Collaborate with our local PR agency; report on budgets, and successful activities, and have regular dialogues to ensure communication activities are delivered with the highest level of quality.

• Ensure robust procedures for approvals, issue resolution, crisis management, and escalation.

To thrive in the role: 

• Demonstrate a track record of 7+ years of experience, with a significant focus on financial and banking services. Experience in the tech industry is a plus.

• Showcase exceptional verbal and written communication skills in Danish, coupled with fluency in English.

• Possess a robust PR network, fostering positive relationships with agencies and journalists.

• Display expertise in working across B2B and B2C audiences, adept at navigating paid and earned media.

• Express a genuine interest in political and economic developments and their impact on markets and stakeholders.

• Exhibit proficiency in reputational risk management, particularly in handling confidential matters.

• Illustrate experience in a multi-channel marketing environment, with a keen understanding of how PR integrates with other channels.

• Adaptability and agility are crucial, as the role demands navigating a matrix environment. Show the ability to balance priorities with tenacity and diplomacy to address challenges calmly.
