As we continue to scale our impact, we are looking for a senior payments specialist to support our operations and business development within the international payments domain.
As our new Senior Payment Specialist, you will be part of our International Payments team, working closely with experts such as Michael Sproegel. The team currently comprises about 6 amazing individuals working in Aarhus & Copenhagen who are focused on scaling our cross-border service offerings and helping our customers with various international payments within the broader Transaction Banking domain.

You have meticulous attention to detail that allows you to accomplish tasks while demonstrating a thorough concern for all areas involved, no matter how small.

You’re proactive by nature, have an impulse to seek new information, explore new experiences, and challenge the status quo with new ideas.

• Significant experience in transaction banking, coupled with a deep understanding of payment flows, processes, and systems, such as SWIFT, SEPA, Target services, and so on.

• Thorough technical knowledge and prior experience working with APIs, gateways, system integrations, etc.

• Proactive and independent by nature, not afraid of taking full ownership of tasks and cases while being self-sufficient

• Ability to guide, motivate, and assist team members in developing their payment expertise

• An analytical mindset that finds motivation in investigating through research and data analysis

• Professional communicator - fluent in English + 1 Nordic language

We imagine that the ideal candidate has prior experience working within banking and knows a broad range of payment-related components within the payment ecosystem. You’re comfortable working with regulations & requirements but not afraid of challenging ways of working within banking.

What will you do?

• The main responsibility will be to take technical ownership of areas and tasks within the cross-border payments domain.

• A key driver in current and future payment flows and processes.

• Support our operations team solve complex cases and inquiries all related to cross-border payments

• Support the development team with domain knowledge and sparring for them to deliver state-of-the-art services and products within international payments

• Dialog and collaboration with in- & external stakeholders

• Process optimization as we are looking for new and better ways to help our customers

• Supporting larger development projects within International Payments such as Target migrations, ISO20022, scheme rulebook updates, new market entries etc.

• Be the go-to person within Lunar when it comes to international payments queries & questions of technical statutes.
