We’re looking for an experienced Senior Controller with previous experience in the banking industry to take on the challenge of strategic planning, process improvement, compliance, and financial reporting.

As our Senior Controller, you will be part of our Accounting & Group Reporting team, reporting to our Head of Accounting & Group Reporting Ioana Chiriguti. We are open to having someone located in either Aarhus or Copenhagen for this position. The team currently comprises 6 amazing individuals working in Aarhus, who are focused on managing and driving our accounting and reporting practices within the broader Finance-function, led by CFO Rie Ruby. The Finance function consists of 61 employees and it spans all 4 Lunar locations (Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, and Aarhus).

What will you do? 

• Be a key person in the month-end-process including controlling and reconciliations 

• Controlling group outsourcing agreements and intercompany charges and balances

• Turning manual processes into automatic processes 

• Strengthen the control environment in accounting 

• Participate in the ongoing optimization of the Finance.

• Process descriptions and SOP’s.

• The driver of various exciting projects across the team to improve efficiency and transparency

• Knowledge about VAT and Tax would be an advantage 

Qualifications

• You hold a degree in finance, economics, or a similar discipline.

• Minimum 4 years experience in a similar position within banking or another financial institute.

• You are curious, proactive, and good at analyzing and conveying financial information in a simple manner.

• You have a structural way of working for handling an ever-changing environment.

• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, both internal and external, such as authorities.

• You have good analytical and IT skills with hands-on experience and skills in MS Office tools, especially Excel.

• You are fluent in English.
