We’re looking for a Backend Software Developer to join our Aarhus office.

A job within Lunar's Transaction Banking area is a job at the core of our value proposition; facilitating our customers' ability to perform financial transfers in a seamless and secure manner, across the markets Lunar operates in (Denmark, Norway, and Sweden). You will get the opportunity to work with different payment and clearing schemes, paving the way for Lunar's near- and long-term strategy. 

The Squad

As a backend software engineer within Transaction Banking, you will be part of the squad ‘Orion’. Each Squad in Lunar has a specific domain for which they take end-to-end ownership of, allowing Lunar to move swiftly with a minimum of cross-squad dependency.

Orion consists of 5 very experienced engineers and a dedicated Squad lead who all are located on-premise in Århus. The squad is ‘autonomous’, meaning they decide on how, when and why. In Lunar we believe trust between people is the best way to achieve great results, and by joining ‘Orion’ you will get to experience this firsthand. Squad ‘Orion’ takes a structured approach to the way of working, dividing chunks of work into  ‘cycles’ with a number of ceremonies like cycle-planning and subsequent retrospectives for a continuous feedback loop.

Responsibilities

The following will give an idea of which responsibilities come with the job. Take note that everything is focused on ‘Transactions’ and ‘Clearing’ of transactions:

• Design, develop and maintain Lunar's integration with clearing schemes and critical elements of Lunar's core-banking setups
• Produce high-performant, scalable, and well-documented code
• Develop and drive testing and observability of new and existing solutions
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends within the world of ‘transactions’ and payment-rails
• Participate in the Squad's day-to-day ceremonies
• Interact with key stakeholders in the Lunar

Qualifications

• >3 years experience as a backend engineer, preferably within the payment processing domain
• Good understanding of, or interest in learning Go (Golang)
• Experience working with observability and monitoring of critical services
• Focused on delivering high-quality and robust software
• Knowledge of API design and development
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• It’s great if you have experience with cloud technologies (primarily AWS and Azure)
