Do you see yourself in a role, where you are able to leave your mark on the decision making process and where you are a part of paving the way for Lunar’s compensation and benefits? Then we might have just the job for you!
As our new Total Rewards & Manager, you will be responsible for our employment law, compliance and total rewards. You will also set the direction and create alignment across processes with local law and always make sure we have an excellent reward offering for our employees.
First of all, we will turn to you when it comes to providing strategic advice and legal counsel regarding employment law issues across our operating territories. From collective agreements and negotiations, to providing employment law advice on employee matters, you will be the expert guiding our People & Culture team in the right direction at all times.
You will also look into our compensation plans and benefit packages in each territory, developing competitive and cost-efficient initiatives that will help us make sure that all of our awesome talent wants to stay on board. You’ll be managing the day-to-day compensation and benefits-related activities, and will be the primary contact for our external reward and benefit partners.
Mission: let’s change everything money!
Lunar is the future's hassle-free all-in-one place to manage everything regarding money. We’re here to make sure our users can handle all their finances anywhere, anytime. We believe that the banking world has become too complex. Therefore, through transparency, convenience, and most of all the feedback from our amazing users, we have set out to define the future of banking.
Tasks & responsibilities
As you can tell, this role has a broad range of responsibilities and areas. The Lunar life is always changing, but here are some of the areas you will work within on a daily basis:
You will be overall responsible for educating the People & Culture team as well as the rest of Lunar on employment law matters and updates in local law. In other words, we will turn to you for recommendations and your clear advice on all areas of legal risk, holiday law, maternity/paternity leave and so on. You will also look into:
Building and managing effective relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective and early engagement on matters requiring legal advice.
Owning the relationships with the unions in each country, fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking relationship with each. Ensuring our collective agreements are well documented, along with any renewal/renegotiation dates and obligations.
Being responsible for issuing contracts and contract change documentation for senior and C-level and above roles.
You will work on identifying and establishing Lunar’s compensation philosophy and ensure that it remains at the heart of any compensation and reward activities. You will be in charge of Lunar’s salary structure and benchmark system and make sure that an ongoing salary review process is put in place. As our go-to person, you will also be responsible for:
Staying on top of trends and needs, regularly review and updating reward-related policies, processes and documentation, and ensuring these comply with current legislation.
Working closely with the People & Culture team, review, update and coordinate Lunar’s compensation plans and benefit packages in all countries of operation.
Managing the company’s incentive plans, including employee bonus and commission plans. Ensuring these are updated and relevant for our employee population, as well as optimized for tax and compliance in accordance with local country law.
Owning and managing the relationship with Lunar’s pension providers in each country of operation. Ensuring our processes and practice are up to date and aligned with local country law and practice.
Advising managers in mobility related matters.
How do we work?
Lunar is unique in many ways and our work philosophy is no different! We are a collection of awesome individuals with a wide array of backgrounds. The thing that unites us is our sky-high ambitions and flat hierarchy.
Your skills and experience
You have experience from a similar role and know the in and outs of Employment Law. You also have excellent knowledge of employment and reward practices in Denmark. As you know, we also have offices in Sweden and Norway - if you have experience working in those territories, it is awesome! But it is not a requirement.
This is not your first rodeo - you have experience scaling operations either by size or geography and you have tried your hand at developing, implementing and leading compensation and benefit programs. When it comes to working and negotiating with unions, you know just what to do and want to be part of handling collective agreements and making sure that they are up to date.
What’s in it for you?
At Lunar, we lean forward. We challenge the status quo, and we empower our employees to be brave, visionary, and persistent. You will not stand alone. You will have an entire group of equally talented people behind your back. You will have the facilities to prosper with state-of-the-art equipment and offices. And last but definitely not least, you will have everything you need to nurture your physical and mental well-being.
