Your elevator-pitch

Squad Echo is all about data, and you love that. You don't necessarily get your highs from building next-level predictive models but more from enabling a rock-solid data foundation. You know and appreciate the importance of having impeccable quality data, and your friends are sick and tired of you using the phrase "Garbage in, Garbage out" all the time.

You have experience working with and developing cloud-based data platforms, and you have a good idea of how scalability, data governance, and the data stack goes hand in hand.

The role & tasks

At Lunar, we work in squads, each on a specific mission. A squad consists of cross-disciplinary members who make up all the skills needed to complete the mission: developers, line-of-business, QA, or plain old subject matter experts. You will be part of squad Echo and work out of one of our Hub's in either Copenhagen or Aarhus.
As a Data Platform Engineer in Echo, your primary task will be developing and maintaining the centralised data platform in Lunar, a platform used by the entire group. The job includes duties like :

• Build and maintain the central data infrastructure.

• Support the overall data governance requirements and strategy from a technical point of view.

• Collect, secure and validate data from source systems, and make it available for the right persons... and only the right persons.

• Ensure quantitative and qualitative validation of data.

A look under the hood - the tech

Echo's tech stack focuses on the possibility of democratising and governing Lunar's data. Echo is the builders and maintainers of the centralised data platform 'Plato'. Plato is built on an Apache Airflow and DBT foundation. It uses Google Cloud Storage buckets and BigQuery as data storage; and includes multiple other services like data catalogue, CI/CD frameworks and Infrastructure as Code components.

All about you

• You have at least two years of experience working with data platform engineering or the likes of it.

• You either have an education in Computer Science, Engineering or Data Science, or experience from "the School of Life" that is equal.

• Experience with some parts of the tech stack is a must. That being Python programming, batch and data streaming tooling, Data Ops, CI/CD, Cloud architecture, or other aspects that will ensure that we can complete the mission from a tech point of view.

• You have the discipline to ensure that the data is under the strictest governance.

• Experience with the Google Cloud Platform stack is definitely a plus.
