In that case you should not hesitate to send us your application and become our new Security Engineer!
A small glimpse into our tech stack
Maybe you already know, we’ll say it anyway - Lunar is born in the cloud and it is our ambition to stay there. Our platform is run in AWS and all of our microservices are orchestrated by Kubernetes and a lot of other Cloud-Native technologies. Our primary language is Go but we still believe in “the right tool for the job”.
A little bit about you
You enjoy starting a project and seeing it through to completion. You can see yourself in a role where you will help both implementing and testing large parts of the IT-security in Lunar. You’ll help build bridges between IT-security and the rest of the Lunar organisation to ensure a strong security culture all the way from customer support, to finance and tech. You have a pragmatic approach to finding a balance between the desires of IT-security and something that works well across the organisation in our journey to become a serious Nordic contender.
You are a tech wiz that loves challenges and who isn’t afraid of diving into new and complicated technical areas to test and to ensure a high level of security. You can accept that in periods your own projects will be second priority, so that you can focus on helping and enabling other squads and the security in their projects.
As a person you enjoy - or even love - to be challenged in your work and to ensure that everyone (not just yourself) is running at maximum efficiency. Team work really makes the dream work - that also applies to your work. If you were to describe yourself, you would use words like: friendly, fun, quick learner and curious.
Roles and tasks
Some of the tasks would be to:
- Be part responsible for the implementation of different IT-security areas across the Nordics.
- Help find the right balance between security and agility for our developers.
- Support our squads directly when they meet security based challenges and help design and implement solutions to those challenges.
- Help implement the security policy and guidelines throughout the organisation to build a strong and coherent security culture.
- Hands-on implementation of IT-security solutions in all parts of our stack; from AWS configuration to writing Go services and ensuring correct use of CORS or TLS configurations.
- Building real time monitoring of the Lunar platform and systems to detect potential security risks and attacks.
Your profile
We would like to see a minimum of 2-3 years of experience with IT-security from a similar role. Furthermore you should be aware that our corporate language is English, therefore we expect you to be able to communicate professionally in writing and orally in English.
What's in it for you?
- You’ll make your mark on the new digital bank in the Nordics.
- Your daily work-life will be in our awesome office in the middle of Aarhus (Dokk1 is our neighbor)
- You will be part of a bunch of intelligent techies and ambitious financial nerds from whom you will learn from and grow every day.
- You will be part of an informal organisation, where it is not the ironing of your shirt or your title that gives you the mandate to have an opinion but your arguments and passion for continually improving.
- You will become part of a company that wants to make sure that you are well mentally and physically. This means that Yoga and meditation are encouraged throughout work hours, and if that is not your thing, we have padel tournaments, board games, cycling clubs and much more that you can take part in.
We love diversity and everything that makes us different from everybody else because that makes us extraordinary. We come from all kinds of backgrounds, and speak all kinds of languages, so English is our business language. Our most important value is respect and understanding because only with that mindset can we move forward with supersonic speed.
Are you ready to be part of the journey?
If you want to be part of Lunar, a place where passion and opinions matter, and we strive for nothing less than awesomeness, then get in touch with us, and become part of one of our fantastic squads.
If you have any questions regarding the position, please contact IT Compliance and Security Lead, Thomas Stig Jacobsen at tsj@lunar.app.
